I also am very fascinated by the downstream effects of the post translational modification SUMOylation because I strongly believe that Small is big!!  (mansig@iiserb.ac.in) Saurabh Jayesh Kumar Mehta: I am Saurabh Jayesh Kumar Mehta did my BSc in Biotechnology from Saurashtra University, Rajkot and MSc from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. I joined the lab in January 2013 and I am trying to understand the molecular mechanism of nuclear pore complex assembly after mitosis in Drosophila melanogaster. I am working with CG14215 protein whose ortholog in mammals are known to seed the NPC assembly. Beyond science, I play cricket, am fond of movies and like to roam.  ( smehta Usha Singh: I did BSc in Biotechnology from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi and MSc from Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan. I worked on Monocrotophos induced oxidative stress and its histopathological effects using mouse model system. My broad interests in the lab lie in the role of nucleoporins in cancer. Currently, I am trying to unravel this puzzle of their cause or effect in cancer. Outside the lab, I enjoy reading novels and watching movies. I joined the lab in July 2016. Using Drosophila genetics, I am mainly focusing on the characterizing interactions and functions of Nup107-160 complex and their importance in Development.
