Synthesis of functional molecules and fabrication of optical materials for sensing and cellular imaging: probing the charge transfer characteristics and aggregation-induced emission properties in donor-acceptor based fluorophores
Design and fabrication of fluorescent conjugated porous organic polymers for carbon dioxide capture, hydrogen storage, catalysis and light harvesting
Nanomaterials based on molecular and macromolecular assemblies: fabrication, surface functionalization, sensing and cellular imaging
Investigations of materials attributes by spectroscopy (absorption, steady state and time-resolved fluorescence), microscopy (AFM, SEM, TEM), crystallography (PXRD, single crystal-XRD) and computational modeling
