About me

Neural circuits are made up of specific neuronal connections called synapses which form the basis for fundamental processes such as perception, motor and cognitive abilities and learning. These processes are dependent on efficient synaptic transmission whose fidelity in turn is dependent on proficient recycling of synaptic vesicles. Defects in this recycling mechanism not only lead to impaired synaptic transmission but also abnormal synaptic growth. I am interested in understanding the signaling mechanisms and their cross talk that regulate synaptic growth. I hail from the scenic north east India and completed my schooling in Mizoram. I earned a Masters in Biochemistry from Bangalore University. I am a cricket enthusiast and love to travel, read and write stories.
