About me

I did my B.Sc form Kanpur University, Uttar Pradesh. I earned my M.Sc. in Biotechnology from HNB Garhwal University, Uttarakhand in 2013 and was a trainee at BCIL, Biotechnology Industrial Training Program. I later joined Human Genetics Lab at ILS, Bhubaneswar in 2014. I joined Laboratory of Neurogenetics at IISER Bhopal in 2016 as a PhD scholar. I like to travel, play badminton, listen to songs and read novels. I am interested in understanding how neurons communicate and undergo morphological change. In this context, I am attempting to understand how Drosophila Aster Associated Protein (dASAP), an N-BAR domain containing protein regulates vesicle trafficking and signaling in neurons. My preliminary experiments suggest that it is located at the NMJ synapses and biochemically interacts with Shibire (fly Dynamin). I am currently focusing on the relevance of these associations in synaptic physiology.
