The highlights of my research work include (i) development of multifunctional bioprobe based on biologically important heterocycle pyrido[1,2-a]indole exhibiting strong fluorescence in solution as well as solid state, (ii) understanding the solid state fluorescence based on molecular interactions in crystal, (iii) synthesis of donor-acceptor (D-A) types intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) molecules and polymers, (iv) tuning the intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) in D-A materials leading to white light emission, (v) exploration of ICT at nanoscale level and (vi) understanding the photophysical and electrochemical properties of D-A materials.
I would like to pursue research on the development of novel electron donor-acceptor (D-A) based ICT materials (molecules and polymers) for both fundamental and application perspectives.
